How can I remove a certain chunk of a rectangle with a triangular face as it is on 3 different faces

When I try to extrude this shape it doesn't allow me any help on this?

    one way to do this would be a removal loft of any of the triangles to the opposing vertex. Another if using extrude and you have the edge lines already there like shown in pic is…just use any of the triangles and set the direction checkbox and then pick one of the lines on one of the faces.

    Here's what comes to mind for me.

    • Sketch 1 just has 2 points
    • plane 1 is a 3 point plane using the corner of the box and the sketch points
    • The plane is used to split the part and remove that corner

    You could also use a loft from a sketched triangle on the nearest face to the point.
