Gusset questions

eben_altoneben_alton Member Posts: 9

Hello, I'm wanting to put a gusset in the at the location pictured, but when I select the edge, it goes red. I'm not sure, nor can find the parameters that are required for it to work. I'm slowly working my way through the tutorials :) Thank you for the assistance.

Gussets only work in frames to connect multiple lengths.

In your case the rib feature could work, but it requires a sketch for the countour of the rib first.

    good luck! keep on trying!

Thank you! But that leads to another question I have been trying to figure out. It seems so simple I'm not sure why I can't figure it out! How do you draw the contour between the vertical and horizontal sections? I was hoping the gusset option would allow me to bypass trying to figure out how to sketch the angle in the first place :)

Hmm as I posted, I suddenly realised how to do it, and it was simple, and I'm not sure why I didn't see it before. The brain is weird.
