how to make a nice curved line to extrude

Hello all,
I am not so good in 3D drawings, so I am sorry for that.
I can do basics, but realy basic. ;-)
Now I need to make a square (20mm on 30mm) that is flat on the under side, but curved on the top, and I can't do it. Tried several things, but not what I needed.
See red line? Well, want that to be a curved line in a sketch so I can extrude it (take the material away) all over the surface.
Hope you understaind what I need, it's hard to explain in my own language, so in English it's even more difficult. ;-)
