How do I add a button flush to a cone?

iKryiKry Member Posts: 2

Hello I'm very new to OnShape and am having a hard time just trying to add a button to a drafted cylinder. I've tried so many different methods, but can't quite seem to get it to even form a shape. I'm hoping someone can help me! The button needs to be curved which adds an extra layer of complexity. I've attached a photo of the (many) sketches I used to try to loft, attempted the "fold" feature, projected curves, and even tried wrapping (but because it's not a perfect cylinder it doesn't work). I also added a photo of what I'm trying to recreate (because the model out of context photo is a little questionable).

here are two options. one with a strictly circular base and some surfacing work. (not the best, but i think good enough for this application)

and a simpler one; revolve 3. revolves and adds a sketch that you've drawn earlier.
