Redress oddly inclined plane

FigFig Member Posts: 13

Hello Onshape community,

I have this plan based on a stl file. But it's oddly inclined and I don't find a solution to redress it properly and have the top line of the plan parallel to the Top plan.

Have you an idea please?

Thank you very much :D

As @S1mon mentioned, use a mate connector for your sketch instead of a plane.

Do you want to move the imported parts or do you want your sketch plane to be aligned differently?

To move the imported parts, use the transform feature with mate connectors.

To get a sketch plane that is aligned differently, use a mate connector (implicit or explicit) instead of a plane.

The imported parts aligned correctly, I would like my plane aligned differently.

I'm sorry but I don't understand how to use mate connectors with plan, I tried to add a mate connector but it's worse…

I would like my plane like this :

So a plane with the top/bottom border parallel to the Top plane, not with a weird angle :s

This is the desired result: Aligned on the two lines in the center :s

    Thank you very much.

Oh ok, I thought with a plan not a sketch directly, I didn't know that you could create a sketch on a mate connector directly, I thought it was only on a plan or directly on a surface.

Thank you very much, it's perfect.
