I'm a beginner. Can someone help me to select points for a hole?

I've tried the training video, but I can't replicate what the video shows.

@phil_sheppard Welcome Phil - You can use end points of lines, or points created in any sketch, (they must be visible,so you can select them).

I like to have dedicated sketches for this purpose, so if I need to edit later, I can easily find where the geometry is (not a rule - just a personal preference).

Stay with it, and good luck.

Thanks Rick. I'm just trying to create a cylinder. Does your answer mean all I have to do is put a centre point circle within a centre point circle and then select the inner circle as the hole 'point'?

Yep. Or just select the center point of the circle you drew for the cylinder. Click on the eyeball next to sketch one on the left of the screen to make sure it's visible.
