Hello fellow creators,
I am hoping the great knowledge base out there can help a novice like myself who finds this intriguing yet confounding.
Not sure if me terminology is write, but i am struggling to work out how create a solid object using 3d splines.
i am familiar with the loft tool but i cant get a second face to work on.
Do i need more 3d spline framework on the 4 curved surfaces?
Thank you kindly, Luke

Have you done any of the surfacing training at learn.onshape.com?

You made a very complicated approach, but it would work anyway. See my sample.
You could do it with about a fourth of features at most. For example could you create only one cover side of the book, and create the other side by thickening it.
Here is an option with a simple loft from sketch to surface with guide curves.
Note: set start direction of 3D splines to make a smoother surface.
