anyone know how to draw a sheet metal lobster back in on shape ? I need to flat pattern the segments when done. or is there a feature script ?

I had to look up what a "lobster back" was. I found this:
Regular sheet metal can't distort a bend that way, since they have a compound bend. I don't have a good sense of how wide of a connection is used for this type of sheet metal feature. I imagine it depends on the thickness, material, and any custom forming tools. That said, you could fake this with regular sheet metal by having a thin spine that only bends in one axis, and then the segments could be bent in a big hoop.
If you're ok with a semi-parametric solution, the flatten surface tool would probably work well on this.
this is what i need to draw.
