Boolean Manifold

I am trying to extrude the details of the eiffel tower, I have done it successfully on the front plane, but when i try on the right plane it says 'Boolean operation would result in non-manifold body. Im not sure what to do.

If you make your doucment public and share it here, someone will be able to help. In the meantime, non-manifold basically means zero thickness. So look out for geometry like

Also, for a model like this, I highly recommend modeling only 1/8th of it, then mirroring it and doing a circular pattern to complete the shape. It will be less work to model, faster to regenerate, and guarantee symmetry.
