How do you create a surface that is rough on a round edge that can print

So I know that you can makes surfaces with render studios but I want a rough surface that will print. Now I already know how to do it on a flat surface like below
But how do you apply to a smooth surface like this without custom features like below?

You should be able to do something similar… Create the first "spike" and use linear and circular pattern features.
You could also use something like the excellent "texture" featurescript:
