Why is this Remove Extrude operation not working?

jared_jajared_ja Member Posts: 10

Hey everyone. Back again with another beginner question that likely has an obvious solution im not seeing. I am attempting to do a "Remove" extrude and every time I do the extrude fails and presents a red line over the entire sketch plane. As far as I can tell there shouldn't be anything to hick it up.

I attempted to check each portion of the sketch itself to see if they were able to extrude normally and they were all fine with exception to these 2 portions.

Again, near as I can tell, I don't see anything that should cause the extrusion to fail. Ideally my goal is actually to have the area around the design (it itself being an enclosed shape) to be the target of the Removal, but the same issue occurs when its selected. Given the issue I have a suspicion that the solution is simple but I'm just not familiar enough with the platform to troubleshoot it. Still trying to wrap my head around it. Ive included the link to the project below. Any help would be appreciated.

After a bit of hunting it seems like the curves that create the failing shapes have some sharp corners in them, even though they are a single continuous spline. In other words the radius of curvature is zero in some spots. You can find these by using the curve analysis tool like so. Edit these somehow and it should work.
