Creating a U-Shaped Cavity with Rounded Base in Onshape

fernando_davilafernando_davila Member Posts: 11

Hello Onshape Community,

I'm working on designing a rectangular solid with dimensions 10 inches (length) x 5 inches (width) x 5 inches (height). My goal is to create a U-shaped cavity within this solid, ensuring a uniform wall thickness of 0.5 inches. Specifically, I want the bottom of this cavity to have a smooth, rounded transition between the vertical walls and the base.

I've explored various approaches in Onshape but haven't been able to achieve the desired result. Could anyone provide guidance or recommend specific tools or features within Onshape that would allow me to model this U-shaped cavity with a rounded bottom effectively?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
