Moved back timeline added a fillet and then forward, part no longer mirrered? why
I have lots of Autocad/Microsation experiences but I'm new with onshape and parametrics in general. Would like to learn for the purpose of 3D printing Mechanical and mostly functional parts.
One issue I have going back in my timeline, then fillet my extrusion and then forward in the timeline and then that same part is no longer mirrored and the mirror in my branch is now red.
Then if I try to mirror this feature again with out any luck, it shows temperarily mirrored in my part in red.
what am I doing wrong here, see model below.
Comments
If you open (edit) the mirror 1 feature: What does it say in the edit box? Is there a red text? Does it refer to a face that changed due to your fillet being applied? If so, re-select the mirror plane there and delete te red item in the dialog.
Hint: It is usually wise not to select a mirror face but a mirror plane or a mirror mate connector. That way, subsequent edits to faces will not backfire.
