VEX 19-Tooth Rack Gear misaligning itself upon fastened mate to 12in linear slider track

I am making an assembly with all the gear relations in it so I can fully understand how they work, and during assembling the rack&pinion setup I found the 19-tooth rack gear becomes rotated by about 4.5° when I fastened it to the linear track(this happens regardless of where i put the mate). I can offset rotate the fasten mate by 4.5 degrees and this gets it close enough to straight, but not quite. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Did you model that rack yourself (I don't see it in the VEX V5 app)? If so, add an explicit mate connector to the part, aligned with how you will want to assemble it.

All the parts you see are taken from a folder directory given to me by a teacher, I don't know where he got it but they are exact replicas of irl VEX robotics parts.

You can measure the exact angle so rotating the fastened mate gets you exactly lined up. Or, if you share the document, I'm sure we could figure out what's up.
