Advice on designing garden decking

Hi all,
I want to design some garden decking but I'm not sure how best to structure the document(s).
Essentially I have a boards layer with straight boards and bull nosed edging boards.
Than a layer of rafters running below the boards.
A layer of joists running below the rafters.
And then a layer of height adjustable feet below the joists.
Finally there are three sets of steps.
What would be best practice be in terms of how many sketches and what to put in them?
Should I pattern the boards as sketches or parts?
Would frames help with the boards and sub frame parts?
Should I keep everything in a single part studio or use assemblies?
Any advice appreciated.

Try to pattern as late as possible. same parts in assemblies, same elements of parts in part studio's and only use sketch patterns as a last resort.
Frames can be very handy for the structure, possibly less so for the boards…
Perhaps @EvanReese 's example can help you::
Thank you for the advice.
