Hide text box outline

Is there a way to hide the dashed-line box that closely surrounds text (entered using the Text sketch tool)? The box makes the text hard to read. My simple fix puts a space before text and period after text to improve readability, but is there a better way? Thank you.

Text within a sketch isn't intended for making notes, but rather for geometry creation such as surfaces or solids or material removal.
What is your end goal? Perhaps we can help you find a better way.

I use Onshape in even simple design purposes, for example, this planer jig to cut a bevel on the top of a porch railing. I copy the sketch to a project diary. In that purpose, text boxes serve as labels and are a great help. I want to make them more readable. I understand the basic Text tool purpose and operation. Thank you for your help.

Which format is the project diary?
Usually people bring parts into a drawing studio where you can add notes and any annotations you want.
In your case, you could use the Offset surface feature to turn all of the sketch faces into surfaces, then create a drawing view of that. This would let you not have to change your workflow too much but still let you view the 2D notes.

With the update to drawing mode to allow parametric sketching you could just do your sketch in drawing mode and add text there without the boundary.
Or take the text box off the existing sketches and insert existing sketches into a drawing. Then add a piece of borderless text while in drawing mode.
The project diary is a Word document. I'll check Offset and Drawing View. Thank you.
