how to import

when I import an stl flile onto Onshape is there a way to show dimensions of it. The only two way I have right now is either using the sketch→line tool or the "show measure details". i was wondering whether there is another way to show dimensions of area and depth….

    Depends on your import. STL imports do not have the geometry necessary for certain analysis, like mass, etc. Measurements in general have to be taken, are not just automatically displayed.
