Checking the balance of a model

I am going to be designing something like the image above. It needs to be balanced around the pivot point.

How to I check this is Onshape?

assign a material to your part and use the mass properties in the bottom right of the drawing area and select the part you want to check

You can use Konstantin's Measure Value feature to get the centroid.
From there you can manually tweak your part until the pivot is where you like, or I guess you could just move the pivot to the centroid.

Also, if you want the pivot to stay where it is, and you don't want to manually adjust the part. You could use Konstantin's solver feature to automatically adjust a variable until it solves the correct position for you: Find Solution

If you want to compare the CG to the CP, you could approximate it with the silhouette and a mate connector on the centroid. The linked custom feature will give you a silhouette (you can take this at the side view and perhaps a few other key angles for comparison).
