What is the second value box when creating a offset plane?

The second (unlabelled) input box currently sets the size of the visible extents of the plane.

Would you want to manually control this, or have it set automatically?

    Hi Andy,

I would like to do it in the workspace since that, I feel would be a lit more intuitive.

I don't see why you'd want to control this particular option manually. Or if you do control it, why not enable dragging the corners of the plane whilst you're editing it?

Just a note. If you go 'normal to' a plane, it'll zoom up to the visible extents of the plane, so setting the plane size sometimes matters.
