Forming ribs on a curved surface

graham_lockgraham_lock Member Posts: 237 PRO

Hi,

I have a curved part as below:

Skin for ribs.png

I want to add strengthening ribs to the inner surface for 3D printing - as depicted by the brilliantly drawn red line!

The part shown will be approximately 1mm thick and the ribs will be of a similar depth / width.

What would be the best way to create those ribs please?

Any help appreciated.

Thank you.

sketch with use edge, and offset that line and connect the ends. then extrude to desired thick.

    there is no best way
