Flat pattern derived part/imported model

i'm trying to do a flat pattern on a low poly bear to cut on a cnc.so i've imported a model but now i can't work on it .i've tried doing an offset surface then use the thickening feature but i cant select the object to thicken it . i also cant turn it into a sheet metal model because it says this feature does not support meshes. i've also tried using the flatten feature in the analysis tools in the bottom right and it gives me a "Select a single contiguous set of faces" but i cant select any faces i can only select the whole object. does any one have any solutions i could try ?

You must recreate the mesh geometry with native onshape tools to be able to use any of those tools on the geometry.
