How to show Custom document property in drawing

Hi to all,
I'm teacher at a university. We form groups of 4-5 students so that they create a proyect in onshape.
For administrative reasons i thought it is a good idea, create a custom property in the document category with contains the numer of each group.
This number I want to call automaticaly in the drawing template I created, so that on each drawing of my students automaticaly apears there group number.
I was't able to got it configuered the right way.
I created the property and linked it to documents so that the whole document has only one group number ,
I tried to link this property to make it apear in the list of drawing-properties. This step because it is the only way i know to make an automatic call out in the drawing. But by doing this I noticed that the "linked property" was not linked, but it was an new and independet property in the drawing.
Then I tried it to pass the property from the document category to the drawing category by heredity, but i didnt worked also.
Are there any ideas?
