Boot Camp Classes.- HORRIBLE HOURS

andrew_poageandrew_poage Member Posts: 2

Why is the boot camp only done in the worst hours? Why are there no "night" classes for people who cant just miss hours of work in the middle of the day. These seems like a huge oversite or just a really dumb decision.

the might be designed for companies that already use Onshape train new employees during work hours.

I'm sure it's 50/50 that, and that's when Onshape's Boston based crew is operating. There is a self paced boot camp option they offer that's recording based for people way outside of east coast operating hours or faster/slower than the instructor is going to take things. My team members seemed to find that option worthwhile.

@andrew_poage From my experience, boot camp is not the most productive way to learn Onshape.
Try Onshape's self paced learning pathways instead: Learning Pathways
You will learn much faster and way more content. By the end of it (If you participated and learned the concepts) you will be an expert.

There were night hours when I did mine 4 or so years ago.

Note, I did the self-paced training on my own before the bootcamp. The bootcamp was exactly the same material from what I recall. I think the pathway was the one for users already familiar with CAD, but new to OS.

@nick_papageorge_dayjob They could have updated it, it was a while back. When I took it, the Bootcamp mainly covered the differences between Onshape and SolidWorks with the intent of bragging why Onshape was better. I had 3 modeling questions which never really were answered fully. Unless the course has significantly changed, there is much more content in the Learning Pathways.
