I am trying to use Split Body to duplicate the shape of one part onto another.

Typically, a plane is used as a cutting tool. Is there no way to use the shape of a part to cut the same shape onto another different shaped part? In my sketch, I have a side view and a front view of the same part. When extruding, neither part looks the same because of the different sketch views. I am trying to use the side view (after extruding) to cut the identical shape onto the side of the extruded front view. How can I do this??
