Constrain angular position along edge of circle?

I have a circle in a sketch that I'm trying to add 4 other circles to. These smaller circles will be at 45, 135, 225, and 315 degree positions. I can easily add circles at the "compass" points (0, 90, etc) as the horizontal and vertical lines help snap the new circle into place. I can find nothing similar for other locations.
How can I specify or constrain the center point of the new circle to a specific position along the large circle? The dimension tool appears to allow angular constraints, but I can't figure out how to make it work.
Thanks.
