Support for 3D Mouse (Astroid7000)
As mentioned in the comments section of the link below, where should I inquire about support for new types of external devices such as 3D mice? Also, are there any means to connect custom-made devices? I would appreciate it if anyone knowledgeable could provide an answer.

As far as I can see, it is Windows only. There should be a device that is platform agnostic. It could be worth while if it supported Linux, for there is no such device available at the moment.

He mentioned that I would like to actively support open-source initiatives.
"I (John Hilton) wrote the support for the Spaceball back in the day on many Unix platforms including Linux and plan on extending support to Linux and iOS given the time and resources. Alternatively I'd be more than happy to support an open source initiative if anyone has the time to make it happen."
That would indeed make a difference. I do basically keep a Win PC here just for the Space Mouse thing.
