ive just started using onshape dont even have a 3d printer yet. i altered a socket holder to accomadate my quinn socket set. i want to upload the stl files back so the op gets the credit and they can be used by others. please advise me how to do this. i only have the stl files.

Many people using Onshape don't have a 3D printer. It works perfectly without.
So, you made a modified molel of said socket holder in Onshape and now want to export and download it as an STL file so you can then upload it to the original site?
Right-Klick on the model, select "Export …" from the context menu and specify "Downoad" in one of the bottommost boxes in the export dialog.
You may want to go though the Lessons in the Learning Sections to get a good start in Onshape. Klick on the Gearhead icon in the top right corner of he Onshape window:
