copy and paste features with ctl+c and ctl+v from one part studio tab to another

I want to select, copy, and paste multiple features like sketch, extrude, chamfer with ctl+c and ctl+v from one part studio tab to another, but it does not seem to be working for me. It's like nothing is getting copied to the clipboard.
I'm using the chrome browser.
Any clues why this is not working, I know I can use derive as an alternative, but that is not exactly what I'm looking for. I swear I've done this in the past with ctl+c and ctl+v
