Refactoring - seeing which sketch parts do not get used

I found myself doing refactoring of a model (picture below) and came up with this idea.
What if there was a way, within the sketch editor, to highlight the elements that are not used anywhere downstream.
In this particular case, if I suppress the sketch entirely, some steps break way later. It will take me time and effort to see which points are the crucial ones.
What do you think?
Searching the Forums for "refactor" I only caught this post. The tool could have more tools for that?
