OnShape not connected error.

Hello fellow Shapers,
I am new to this system and experiencing difficulties getting up and running.
Every time I try to open OnShape to begin a project I am met with the Error 'Onshape is not connected. Your document is saved. Refresh the browser to continue.'
Safe to say refreshing the browser does not work.
Any help greatly appreciated.
