Kiri Moto which machine?

scott_caskeyscott_caskey Member Posts: 55 PRO

Which machine should I pick for Kirimoto in setup when I have a Precision Mathews PM30 converted to CNC using a Centroid ACORN control board running Centroid CNC12 software?

Doesn't look like there's a machine in there that has that specific flavor of G code. Centrioid is pretty much a Fanuc G code flavor.

You might be able to make Linux CNC work… My guess is that it's going to be the closest one.

What is it you're trying to machine?

    Eric,

Thanks for the input. Machine tools are a necessary evil to me. I use the mill to make cutouts and drill hole patterns in electronic enclosures mostly.

I was using the CAM feature in Fusion 360 but apparently, they won't support any OS older than Windows 11 now so no worky. Looks like I may have to get a windows 11 machine just to run F360 if I can't get the kirimoto to give me what I need. It seemed lacking in a lot of areas as I didn't see anywhere for you to configure cutting speeds, tool diameters, offsets, etc., but then again, I just opened it a couple of hours ago.

The kiri Moto forums might provide more help.
