When managing users via CSV upload, do the invitations have an expiration?

In our semester-long makerspace course, I upload the entirety of our 6th grade class at the beginning of the school year in early September. Many invitations seem to get dropped by semester 2 in late January, so I usually upload everyone again.
We also have a rotation of multiple machines in the course, and students start a different spots in the rotation. For students beginning 3D printing now in mid-May, I'm finding more student invitations have been dropped.
If there is an expiration date for invitations, I just need to know so that I can plan for it. If not, any ideas why student invitations are getting dropped from the system?
