Can't select shapes on sketch after creating them

After I add a shape to my sketch, I can't select them again. No matter where I click, nothing happens. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hey John. I made a copy of your document and I am not having that problem. Try refreshing the document. - Scotty
Unfortunately, I still have the same problem. I should also mention that I can't activate the perspective cube in the right corner either. Could it be something with my computer? I'm using a Lenovo X1 Extreme, Gen2, Intel Core i7, 9th Gen, on Windows 11
I've had thatI've had that issue when trying to do things on my phone, or on my old slow laptop. But not on my reasonably fast computer
