Part appearance properties

Hi all,
I have scripts which set properties on the parts they generate to identify part types.
I have a separate feature which uses those properties to set part colours by part type.
it seems that if I have already manually set appearance on a part that it takes precedence over the script. I’m not sure how to correctly reset any manual appearance edits made, I’ve tried resetting properties but that doesn’t work.
Any help appreciated.

Select the part or parts, right-click and select properties. Click reset all. That will allow custom features to change part names or colors.
