new FS for (limited) HVAC ductwork analysis (ACCA Manual D)

joshtargojoshtargo Member Posts: 610 EDU

I'm planning the new ductwork for the house I'm rebuilding and wrote this to report exit velocity and total pressure loss for each "run". Pressure losses have a max allowable level depending on the air handler, and exit velocities should stay above 500 fpm for mixing, but below 700fpm for noise. The normalized debug plots show velocity in the positive dir and pressure loss in the negative. Real numbers available in the console.

Geometry inputs are just 3d points.

The script creates Polylines and eventually simple sweeps for duct diameter visualization.
