Extrude

Hello the all knowing onshape forums.. I've been trying everything I know and I still encounter this error, even after pouring through many past forums.

I have this sketch of a partial Welsh dragon which is going to be included in my project, however when I attempt to extrude it, it states 'Extrude 1 did not regenerate properly: failed to extrude selections, check input'.

From what I can tell, there are no loose ends in the sketch as the inside of the shape is highlighted grey, and there are none shown in the profile inspector.

At this stage, I'm lost and don't know what else to try. Any help would be massively appreciated. Here is the project link: There was an error displaying this embed.

Hello. Yes, it looks ready to extrude. Please try reposting the link; nothing shows up in your original post. - Scotty

Usually, with this type of data, there may be no open ends, but that does not rule out overlaps. I bet you have an overlap or a twisted vertex.

Try using the 'Line' trick. Draw a line right across your Dragon about halfway up and see if you can get either side to extrude. If one side extrudes, undo the extrude and move the line up or down until the extrude doesn't work. That way you can isolate any errors you might have.

The profile inspector tool can help find the issues.
