cannot move sketch

If I select the sketch in the sidebar, I do not find any way to move the sketch.If I clicknear the sketch, a orange colored rectangle is opened depending to moves of my mouse. The same happens when I try to catch the Centerpoint of the sketch. If I try to select the geometry, it changes color to orange but I cannot move it. What is wrong? I have no idea…

    If you are in a part studio, you cannot move a sketch, because it is referenced to an object. You need to move the object. That is easy if you referenced your sketch to a mate connector: Just edit is's position in its edit dialog.

    Else, you can always create a new reference object at the location of your choice and change the sketches reference inside the sketch edit box.

    Hey Peter. Witnin sketch editing, the Transform tool (grouped with the Linear and Circular Pattern tools) can be used to move the sketch. If your sketch was previously fully defined you will now be left with a sketch that's not defined because it doesn't have a fixed position on the sketch plane. You will have to give it a fixed position with constraints that will most likely have to include dimension(s). - Scotty

    You move sketches by changing constraints and dimensions from the origin of the sketch. There is no drag/drop of an entire sketch.
