base type names

If there was ever a discussion whether base type names should be capitalized (as all the derived types are)...

I wish they had been capitalized.

Also, box is a frustrating type name for a language meant to work with geometry.

Nothing to be done about it, just saying...

    There never was much discussion there: the type capitalization is consistent with Java, JS, C++ conventions where native types are lowercase and user-defined types are title case.

    Agree that box is frustrating -- something like "reference" would have probably been better in retrospect, though it doesn't quite convey the right concept.  We have enough versioning capability (with the FeatureScript language version at the top) to change this, and I've logged an issue, but it's not a high priority at this point.

    Heh. There is somewhere in that chain of "I'll do it their way" someone sat down and made an intentional choice. It probably involved baudot code and 8 character identifiers....
