How do you change the auto-generated name for parts created with a feature?

By default, new parts created are called "Part1, Part2, etc".
How can I change the name of the part created to something more descriptive?
I'm not referring to the name of the feature-- which is named 'Feature Type #' by default-- but the actual part that is created in the lower portion.
I have looked at the documentation, searched for 'name', and read the standard source. I cannot find evidence that it is possible.
