If you define top-level functions, types, enums, or constants, these will autocomplete just like everything in std does. You can also manipulate how these functions autocomplete by given it /** this style of documentation */ with @eg tags. Search through the standard library for examples of this.
But doesn't generalize to making custom snippets for arbitrary text.
