How to make the rib like this?

I am a beginner for Onshape, and got problem. So I writing to inquire how to create a rib as below pictures shown?
I try to used the extude >add>symmetric>merge all,but it do not work (cause by boolean problem)

How should I do it right?

Ya, the edges of your sketch which touch your existing geometry need to be drawn such that they are inside of the part. As it is shown, your rib will be tangent to the outside of your model, and that will not work.
