Best method to use Mirror

I have a extruded rectangle to represent a railroad car. Also made into a shell. Used end view to give the shape. Full end view not 1/2 end view.
I want to place windows on one side only, and use mirror for the second side.
Should I place a vertical line at midpoint and delete one half lengthwise of the sketch?
Is this the best way to achieve each side being the same with windows?
