howto create an arc perpendicular to a line?

Hi!
I simply draw a line on the TOP side. Then I make a new Sketch and want to draw an arc perpendicular to the end of the line (on the FRONT side?)
The Problem is I cannot choose any Point from the line so that I can place the arc perpendicular to the line.
What I want is to use the "sweep" function to make a pipe (or half-pipe) along the line.
Any ideas how to manage this ?

Just got it. I first drew the arc on the center point, created a new sketch and placed the line to the arc. just as simple5
