Does European Data Protection Directive prohibit the use of onshape for limited liability corp.?

Hello onshape team,
the European Data Protection Directive "95/46/EG" prohibits the use of cloud services with servers based outside the european union for personal data. To my knowledge this applies to sensible data in general for limited liability corporations.

Since "Safe Harbour Agreement" was repealed in 2015 and the "General Data Protection Regulation" (GDPR) is not expected to be ratified before 2018 i fear that at this point there is no way to use onshape in the EU with legal certainty.

Could you please prove me wrong, or comment otherwise on this matter.
Do you plan to establish european server infrastructure?
What are your expectations for GDPR?
