How to intersect two pipes?

I am new to this so please forgive me if this is obvious.  I have searched the tutorials and forums without finding an answer.  

I am trying to draw an intersection of a 50 mm pipe with a 100 mm pipe at a 45 degree angle. Both pipes have a 3 mm wall thickness.  

1) How do I remove the part of the 50 mm pipe inside of the 100 mm pipe?  

2) How do I remove the elliptical hole in the side of the 100 mm pipe where the 50 mm pipe intersects?  Thanks for your help.

All I did was extrude a pipe then extrude a remove circle the inside dimension, then made my intersecting pipe and same thing...

Yes! Thank you.  I knew it would be simple.  I had to check "Merge with all" to get it to work.  I was expecting the cuts to be "automatic" somehow. I never thought about a separate cut after I extruded my pipes. Thanks for your help.
