Turning a 2D cross section into a 3D drawing

Hello
Looking for some help. I am a cable draughtsperson. I draw out cross sections of cables all day but was wondering if there is away using Onshape to convert them into a 3D drawing. There doesn't have to be twists or anything. I just need help designing it as I have never really used any 3D drawing packages before. It would be good if I could show a bit of each i.e. the copper, then the insulation, then the sheath material. Like in a layer I guess is the best way to describe it. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
