How to add holes for mounting hardware between two parts

BricklyBrickly Member Posts: 1
I'm really new to parametric design. I promise to read! I just need some pointers on where to look.

I have an imported enclosure and a 7-segment display that I would like to bolt in place. I need to extrude/remove/drill holes in the enclosure to line up with the mounting holes on the display.

I cannot add a sketch to an assembly so how might I do this? Should I create a new part and copy&paste the two previous parts to get the alignment?

Many thanks!

You should import and align your parts in a part studio where you can create sketches.
