How can I create a new sketch over extrudes?

Hi, I'm a newbie to onshape.

I'm learning how to use this marvelous tool!

Anyway, I'd like to create a sketch including surfaces [1], [2], [3] at once. (They all have same heights)

Unfortunately, when I select the surface [1], and create a sketch, I can't select the points on other surfaces (2), (3), (4).

For example, if I start drawing a rectangle from the point (1), I can't finish it on the point (3) because the surface [3] is not included in the current surface.

How can I solve this problem?

I'm really sorry that I cannot explain my situation more wisely with more proper words.

Your rectangle will not snap to those points put you can make them coincident after creating the rectangle.

It is often best to convert geometry to the new sketch.  Do that with the 'Use' command.  See the help section here - https://cad.onshape.com/help/index.htm#sketch-tools-use.htm?Highlight=convert
