Not as of yet, no. OS does not currently have the capability to deal with lofted sheet metal and similar shapes. You can make approximations with many small bends, but that's about the extent of it, for now.

I figured that might be the case because presumably the curve is an infinite number of closer together bends, I was unable to reproduce your result.  I used 2 inscribed polygons on parallel planes, lofted a solid and was not able to generate a sheet metal part.   what am I doing wrong?:

Since your link is view-only I am unable to work with what you've got, though I'm not seeing anything wrong with what you've modeled so far.

What step were you taking to try to create sheet metal from your lofted solid? When you were inserting bends when converting to sheet metal, did you make sure to leave one rip open?

I'm not sure how to change permissions to allow editing, but I'll be glad to if you can tell me how.  In any case, I'm not even able to get as far as selecting joints on the outside of the funnel to do ANYTHING- it just stays red.  I can exclude the top and bottom face of the solid but then can't select any joint to bend OR rip....is it possible there are so many bends that it is timing out or something?  I've got a fast connection...
