Problem with flanges in sheet metal

Hello, I am having problems with creating this part. It has flanges in opposite direction and I am having problems shaping the corner.
I would like to move this flange face towards the center. The move face tool won't work in that direction, only to the opposite. I also tried to extrude cut but it also doesn't work, it just marks the corner red.
Does anyone know what am I going wrong?

Before posting the problem I had spent several hours without success, but today the move face command simply worked.
The extrude cut also works on the flange today, but yesterday and the day before it would simply turn red.
I don't know why but it happens sometimes that some tool just don't work for days..
